Doing some clutch bell maintenance on my HS 4 stroke engine...and discovered that the clutch bell will NOT freely rotate. Took apart the cover and noticed there's a whole lot of particle debris lodged in there. There's a hex nut there that I think has to be unscrewed so I can clean all of the damn thing out.

Anyone experience something similar before....and whats the best possible way of proceeding with this ??

Those hoot transmissions are disposable as hell, expect to replace them often. A buddy of mine put a couple inches of gear oil in his and got almost 1500 miles on it before it imploded. They normally don't make it to 1k.

Just blow the dust out as best you can. Do not remove the nut unless the bell is broken. It is torqued in there pretty good and it is hard to retorque it due to the bell. When you say not rotate freely do you mean that it hits the transmission walls now and then or is it completely stuck or very woobly?
