Clutch Cable Routing - Is There Any Reason Why I Should Not Route Like This?

If you make the turn too tight the cable wear the inner sheath and make it bind. It's best to tie it up a couple inches from where you have it now.

Look through some of my pictures from last year, this is the way I do the clutch cable.

You might want to turn the wheel fully right and left and pay close attention to the cable at the clutch arm and make sure it does not move, If it does this would indicate that its too tight or binding up somewhere.

Same thing happens to the throttle cable if you route it wrong way causing the engine to rev higher when you turn a corner

Put never cease on the clutch cable and run it back and forth to keep it gliding smoothly in the jacket.

Turn the handlebars all the way left and right to make sure the cables are long enough so there is no binding.

Its better to have to much than to little and if you dont have experience with shortening cables... Don't Mess With it!

You will be opening a can of worms and buying new cables if you dont know what you are doing.

Well you have to get experience somehow. Both cables are WAY too long. I'll take my chances.
