Im super late here but im doing it now and the little retaining screw isn’t coming out at all no matter how much I unscrew it for some reason

Get a thin screwdriver and pry out on the screw while you turn it with another screwdriver.

Tried that and it didnt work either

Try sticking a knife blade between screw and plate, put a little pressure on screw while turning, or use a small grinder and grind head off.

That happened to mine cuz the screw threads stripped, pry harder lol. While also turning the screw. And make sure you're turning it the right way lol.
