clutch revs instead of letting me coast??

Hello, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here...? I've heard from my experienced friend that: while my engine is running, I can squeeze the clutch lever to just coast and hit the brakes at the same time if i want. Yet, when i squeeze my clutch, it just revvs way up, way too much. While the bike is off, I can squeeze the clutch and it rolls freely just fine. do I need to adjust that little wheel on the crank case or something? it's a brand new bike, rode it for less than two miles and it's always been like this. ALSO, when I twist the throttle, it doesn't really seem to do anything, the bike just has a very high speed on it's own before i even twist the throttle. I would greatly appreciate any tips!

The revving happened on mine as well is there any spots where it looks like it's leaking oil? could be a gasket or seal. If the bike rides fine it shouldn't need clutch adjustment.

1. Check for Leaks around gaskets
2. when i first got mine i had to shave the throttle grip(the white part) because it kept the bike at a slight rev

It sounds like your slide may be installed incorrectly in your carb.
