Hi!
After following the steps in: https://motoredbikes.com/threads/ho...en-going-above-18mph.59385/page-2#post-548802 ,
I have been having even more troubled. After finally being able to grease the engine, the clutch wont engage. I followed all of the steps and still cant get it to work.
I've tried: re-adjusting the clutch cable, messing with the flower nut, combination of the two. I've included pictures. All of these problems came after I took off the clutch cover. The pictures are of both sides of the engine, and on one of the clutch pictures, the clutch is pulled in.
I've tried videos. I tried the steps in the previous forum. Anything helps.

Thanks a bunch! Zachary.

PS: I know the flower nut screw is out I was just messing with it.

To start undo the cable from arm. Release clutch lever if lock. So put flower nut on ,thread it on until it's snug. Now install drive gear cover make sure the clutch little arm is in right. Now put cable thru arm and tighten like normal. Squeeze the clutch lever and turn flower nut 2 more notches then insert the little lock screw. This is the way I would do. There might be some final adjustment to the cable and arm. Hope this helps...Be safe.

how to fix
Put the left side cover back on and pull the clutch lever while you turn the flower nut in. Can you put the arm back in the case and post a picture of it in the cover? I would like to see the surface that contacts the bucking bar.

What exactly did you do to fix it so as to pass it on to others that may need this fix in the future???...DAMIEN

It could be as simple as you didnt shut the gas shut off valve to OFF and its leaning back at an angle.

Or you could have a stuck float thats just allowing the gas to keep flowing which i would check.

Sometimes these floats have a pin hole leak in them that allow the hollow plastic float to fill up with gas, holding the float down and causing the bowl to overfill as well...DAMIEN
