Clutch won’t move at all

So I tried putting that in and again it’s not moving when I try to push the bucking bar in and my cover still doesn’t go on
Show some pics so we can see whats up with it...Last time I asked for a pic of the clutch setup with the cover not going on, I found out he was putting the flower nut on backwards, so lets take a look.

If you need any specific pictures I’ll get them.

$64,000 question! Where did you get that engine? The bevel gear doesn't even mesh with the one on the engine. Get those gears lined up, it might start working, hopefully it's not bent.

I got it off amazon, it had 5 stars so I assumed it was half way decent but I guess I was wrong. but the engine I got was apparently either a really good clone of a pretty well known engine or an abandoned real one. I watched a video on the supposed original tell-tales and they seemed to match up, even the markings on the rod matched up. But sadly I don't remember the actual name of it. Also how would I go about realigning the bevel gears. If you couldn't tell I'm not very familiar with 2-strokes, I mainly work on 4-stroke go karts.

IF..the crankshaft bearings are correct and the clutch bearings are correct AND the bevel gear and clutch gear installed correct then the bevel and clutch gears should should mesh right.

That mesh is not adjustable. It’s set when both shafts are seated in their respective bearings.

Something else is going on for the mesh being this way out.

Did you remove either the bevel gear or the clutch basket at any time?

This is probably relates to the clutch not disengaging.

This video shows how the clutch works.

Chainlube pointed out another issue…

In your case the clutch gear and bevel gear mesh needs to be addressed and determine what’s causing such a wide space in the mesh. The teeth do not appear to be meshing at all.

Little update I know it’s been a while but I got my clutch to somewhat work. By this I mean I got the bucking bar assembly working so when I pull the clutch it actually moves and the flower nut pops out. Only problem is that it’s really stiff. So I still can’t use the handle to engage the clutch and I have to pull real hard on the actually clutch arm itself to get the thing to move.

Some of the stiffness can be relieved by being sure there's no tight bends in the cable...Long sweeping bends everywhere...and as few as possible the number of bends in the cable.
Be sure the cable is not frayed in the sheath anywhere and use a silicone cable lubricant occasionally.

Be sure there's grease in the area that holds the bearing and buck bar as well as the arm pivot points.
