Coaster brake wheel

Some folks owning a Ford F-150 w/4.6 have over 200k on them and never a problem. Others with the same have spark plugs blowing out of the heads at 60k miles. Should I buy that ford?

Never did like the 4.6...LOVED the old 390 with 4 speed tranny though...lol...DAMIEN
 
If any of you folks living here in the USA, (where it doesnt cost me anything to make a phone call), If you private message me with a phone number, i would be able to tell you my experiences when i was just 16 years old, when my Massachusetts family sent me to California to finish my High School and go to college and come back as a progressive/socialist, (I came back as a dyed in the wool Reaganite Republican after meeting Ronnie in Sacramento when he was Gov.),...lol...and will tell you how a guy by the name of Malcolm Smith made me a part of his racing team doing Barstow to Vegas runs etc...Those were the days for a very young, idealist, excited young boy, "wild eyed" greenhorn, Bostonian New Englander, on the loose in sunny SoCal back in the day...Its a good story and an unforgetable part of a very rich life that i have led...Its just too long to type out here in a forum is all...lol...DAMIEN
 
That's another option for you Regalgse, Mag wheels. They're a little more expensive but not that much.

You can put disk brakes on and attach the sprocket directly to the hub.

Since mag wheels don't have spokes, the rim will stay true.

Only con is they're susceptible to break if you live in an area like me with lots of bad potholes or if you're going offroad. Spokes act as a shock obsorber since they can flex. Mag wheels are completely rigid.
 
Be careful of which mag wheels you choose. Read the reviews and ask around. I heard the cheap ones may have problems. You'll also need an adapter made for mag wheels to mount motor sprocket.

I don't know if you ordered a wheel yet, but I just got my freewheel in the mail. Looks great.

I checked to make sure and yeah you can thread the 6 bolt holes in your motor sprocket, get a disk brake spacer and simply bolt it on with the disk rotor and your wheel is now disk brake compatible.

You can get a tap and die set from Harbor Freight for $40 its a 60 piece set for SAE and metric. Its almost necessary to have in your toolbox. If you strip those cheap aluminum threads in your engine, your kinda screwed if you or a friend doesn't have this.

I don't get it why would you need to thread the sprocket holes?

This freewheel doesn't have a disk brake mount so there is nothing to mount the spacer with. I thought of putting a nut to go behind the holes, but there's not enough space for the nuts cuz there's like 1mm of space between the holes and the big hole in the middle.
