Try turning the other end. Some of those look like a solid cylinder but are just a tube.

I think it may be badly corroded and don't want to come loose

Channel-lock pliers might be handy to do this.

Yes it is...lol...Notice that as I am checking the spark plug for even burn that it is NOT on the bike, but lying on the table as I was rummaging through the junk box???...lol.

Ya never know when a scrap piece of metal suddenly becomes handy to have in the box when you suddenly need it for something else...lol.
