Hey guys, im really confused about what oil to fuel ratio to use. I did some reading and im hearing 25:1, 32:1, 16:1, 20:1. Im not to sure. I just picked up some Honda gn2 motorcycle 2 stroke oil and the oil ratio in my engine is 32:1. It seems to be ok. In addition, the temperature here in NYC is about 60 degrees fah. I am a light rider, and I have a jackshaft kit. When I ride my bike I do go at full throttle but for periods of time ranging from 5 seconds to 60 seconds. Not to long in my opionion. Based on my riding conditions do you guys think 32:1 is suffecient?

I am also getting a BGF engine on friday and the bike its going on will SOMETIMES carry some load. Perhaps close to 300 lbs (2 people) after break in. and im using a 41t sprocket. It will be fairly cold by next week. What ratio should I use?
40:1 all day long! Ive raced formula2 tunnel hull boats, MX Enduro and Karts- no running in- just no thrashing for the first tank of gas- then ride it like you stole it. Ive only ever wrecked two small two strokes and neither was caused by lack of lube.

These "Chinesium" motors we have for most of these motorised bikes don't like being oil starved which is the reason we recommend no less oil than 32:1 ratio after breakin is over.

The exceptions to that rule are the newer larger bore motors like the Phantom 85, Avenger 85 and the Dominator 85 which REQUIRE no less oil that 20:1 on breakin for 310 miles and then no less than 25:1 after breakin is over.

Conventional oils only on the breakin and full synthetic preferred after breakin is over and done with.

"CHINESIUM" Now with some metal...lol...lol.

I'm running 16:1 for break-in on my bikes right now, and I haven't had any fouling problems plus it gives it some cool smoke lol.

Ive always had good results year after year with expensive oils at low ratios- 40:1 Amsoil and Redline in tunnel hulled boats, Karts and KTM EXC300.
For my Chinadoll, All this summer in 30degC+ heat I ran Castrol Garden two stroke oil - the cheapest I can find, at 40:1. Main road, wide open throttle, 32mph mile after mile with no issues
Great thing about the expensive oils was no carbon build up whatsoever. As winter comes and weather gets me in the car more often. Ill pull the head and pipe on the chinadoll and see whats left of it.
