Need guidance converting a standard MB suspension fork with a gooseneck handlebar mount to a true triple tree for added strength and control. The stanchions on the forks are 28mm and the downtubes with the triple tree I'm using are 32mm. I'm thinking all I have to do is find a fork with 32mm stanchions and swap them out for the downtubes. Anyone tried this? What are the drawbacks? What are the chances a 32mm tube will fit in a slider made for 28mm stanchions? I know they sometimes have plastic sleeves in them that could come out.

I used a solid triple tree for mine, seems fine.
