Here's more of my ride in and around the FDR State Park and Pine Mountain Georgia area, the Liberty bell pool was hand dug by the CCC when FDR was President. The pool bottom has a flat rock the shape of each of the lower 48 states. This was filmed with a helmet mounted Vivatar vivicam s130.

Using the clutch is beneficial to change gears.

I suggest you fix the bike so that it can change gears.
You wouldn't drive your car around in only one gear, because that would be silly.

I agree but the powers that be in the great state of Georgia say that a moped can only be one speed and must be pedal started, also must be 50cc and under and a maximum sustained speed of 30mph or less.

The legislators in Georgia are completely silly.

You need to move to a different state, or somehow find a way to have your motorised bicycle reclassified so it can use a gear changing system, or just simply bolt on a gear changing system and live with the consequences, like many of us do.

Hey NHRA top fuel dragsters only have one gear! I don't make the laws but I do abide by them, since I have friends in law enforcement that would'not be acceptable.
