Will share the links but i am selling my recently finished Gemini Broadlands, pk80 build.
Built originally from an 1990's chrome moly 26" Gemini Broadlands donor bike and a 2016 PK80.
I fitted the orginal kit and rode the bike to work and back up and down the hill to work and home for about 3 months, putting about 4 medium size (3litre/quart) tanks through it.
I had a heap.of parts available and decide to put it all together, beginning with a monark fork set that never quite made it.
It now hosts a G2 reed block, a ported piston and a delOrto clone 18mm carburettor.
I fitted a highside exhaust and fettled all the parts with the appropriate threadlockers, sealants and anti-sieze products.
a custom rear wheel has been built using a rim brake MTB, 36 hole alloy (double wall) merida rim. The spokes are 11 gauge and the lacing pattern is 4 cross. The hub is a new disk type heavy duty hub and is paired with ball type bearings (to make servicing easy) and a single speed freewheel. The drive sprocket is fitted using HT m5's onto the brake disc mount, and seamless steel tube spacers set the appropriate gap for a rag joint sprocket mount also. Only 6 of the bolt holes barely lined up so that's how it has been bolted.
I figured; if The m5's arent going to be enough (i had researched and most just shear off) then a basic rag joint with 6 bolts should fix it.
I have extensively tested the bike and the local copper said, he could impound it, fine me and i could lose my licence, but since i talked my way out of it and swore not to ride it on the road today without the right gear, he wouldnt...
aaand that it was doing about 67km/h (41mph) down the road, to which i could only say maybe i thought 50km/h...
The bike has a fair amount of patina, and everytime i came across a problem i patiently fixed it, using whatever i could get that worked.
There is no J.B. weld on it yet... the transistions, porting and head shaving has not yet been done.
The ignition and magneto are basically stock and all of the impovents for a ridiculous high speed are all there for the next user tonunlock if they need.
If you dont get why i want to sell it, maybe i could point out that i have another 2 projects to finish and my learner motorcycle license to abuse also (i have 3 motobikes that need my attention).
I will post the sale links for Ebay and FB marketplace.
