Custom grips for throttle?

I am looking to fit custom grips both on the throttle side and the grip side of the handle bars of an Electra cruiser one I'm getting for a 4 stroke build. Could I fit any grip on a throttle? I was thinking of these grips because I'll be working on a dyno deuce replica using an Electra.

I bought $10 Scott grips from a motorcycle shop. They were dirt bike grips so the the right side grip has a slightly larger opening for the throttle assembly. Lots of alcohol lubricant and the larger opening makes installation a lot easier!
