Now if it could be remanufactured as a scaled up version, to say an 80cc engine, the torque output would be awesome for a little motor, not to mention the extra controls to play with, like adjustable compression ratio on the fly.

I like old bike motor kits , but to find a complete running Lohmann kit will cost you as much as a good car. && you get a whopping 18cc !

There is a company in China that makes a 4 cycle 2.2 HP diesel engine, I just can't find a dealer anywhere. It's a 160F. Looks like it would be great for a frame mount.

This engine also has a square bore and stroke, meaning the bore diameter is the same as the stroke length, 60x60. This is very good for engine longevity.
This site seems set up for volume sales, not individual sales. I wonder how much an individual engine would cost?

I have searched and searched for a distributor and can't find one. I can't even e-Mail the company asking if there is in fact one at all.... Just updated my password...forgot what e-Mail address I used. Will report back. When I do I'll post in either frame mounted/4 cycle or both. I posted here due to the diesel question came up.

You are probably looking for a Changfa Diesel engine. Many of those, & some copies, were imported a few years back. I think it was in 2006, they were banned by the EPA. There was a guy who had plans to convert a Suzuki cycle with one. Here is a link for diesel bike info.
