when i put the choke on at idle the engine still idles. i put a gasket in the carb and also grey permitex on fitting because thought maybe one thier. however no change. i sprayed starter flued around head gasget, intake, out everything and no change. i took the air flilter off and put hand over carb and stalled imidiatly. hopefully it is not fully chocking and thats why choke dosnt stall it but my mechanical knowlede is really small so would like some input please. thanks in advance

if it's stalling when you cover the carby, it's prolly set right...check to see if the screw/nut holding the choke-plate is tight.
