Yeah, idles fine, runs fine no four stroking…has plenty of compression. But I wanted to check my piston anyways and found it was completely brown, which I assume is a sign of severe blow by…

Just an area where there’s no carbon…it’s not a scratch or a friction point. I double checked

If it were mine, I'd replace the whole top end!

I did a bit of looking and I believe the brown color is caused by there being a massive transfer port on the cylinder walls, meaning after power stroke, the chamber is briefly ventilated to the crankcase, leaving unburnt fuel roasted on the outside of the piston. The bottom of the piston is perfectly clean so
