Let the board's longevity rule it's own power over it's own destiny.
Thats what I keep hearing.
So why protect it so much?
What's the big worry.
If the board rocks...and this one does....then it will always have
members.
Why do you have to stop people from joining other boards?
Are we in some sort of army here?
Some sort of cult?
So tell me we are not doing the very same thing by letting sponsors selling stuff here?
I see adds here.
Nothing diffrent.
I see profit.
I see lots of stuff.
And yes Tom has done a great job here.
But you have gone down the path of letting someone place adds here.
It always wrecks the true spirt of any board.
It robs the democratic feel and turns it into communism.
Kind of calling the kettle black to say all the remarks I saw about greed.
Take all the adds off this forum....then we can talk about it in true manner.
I bet this would be a far better place if we stop lashing out at posters
I have seen this many times in other boards and it always leads to trouble.
banning is bad!
Banning should be put to a vote!
Not left to one persons descretion!
I too have been around a long time......and all I know is this takes toooooo much freaking time and head-space to be so militant about nothing.
I don't see a problem with it at all.

Going to be the first oil I use in my bike this spring.
So no offence to any sponsors!
Just making a point about forums in general.

i do not care about who joins what...doggone, now, believe that part.

i do care about how some staff and members from that site have behaved in our house.

because of the unfavorable light those behaviors shine on the movement, i have no desire to be associated with them in any way.

if you participate there, keep that to yourself when you are here.
