This brake is what they call "belt brake or band Brake" very good for power or speed! (last longer then rim pads!) I have a style simular to this but instead of using belt on steel rim... Mine has brake shoes like motorcycle and it is 2 stage... 1 shoe contact inside brake drum will slow and stop normal use... High speed and panic stops it stages 2nd shoe to safely bring you to quick full stop. I am not going to use it fastens same as band brake in picture... If you are interested.... let me know!
