I bought one from a local bike shop for $12, it's well made. If one cable brakes( as in broken) the other will still stop you. If the lever brake grab the cords and yank. With a standard set up if one cable brakes you need to grab the other which may be in a bad spot due to the clutch. Because I set my bike up like a motorcycle due to habit I like having my braking power on the right and clutch left. I had one brake on each side before I got the dual and I had trouble getting to the left brake. I know everybody feels comfortable with their own set up but the dual feels safe to me
