Duck, Duck, Mongoose.

I have finally settled on my next bike. It's a steel frame Mongoose Creekside. This bikes sole purpose will be speed and R&D. I've had this bike for some time and have already replaced all the bearings with sealed cartridges in the headset and bottom bracket. It had brand new everything as I had just rebuilt the bike before I stumbled upon this motorized bicycle craze.
This bike is going to be the recipient of the Dio Reed Sleeved Stroker Engine I'm building. The Jack shaft kit has been ordered along with another Oko carb. The rear rack is going and the seat is getting lowered and pulled back.
Going get rid of the suspension forks and go with a set of 30" triple trees forks with clip on bars. I'm still undecided about the gas tank but I'm sure I'll think of something and change my mind 10 times long before then. This build isnt in a rush to finish as I still have really never finished the Rambler yet and need to finish up the lighting system I have for it. And im also getting married for the first time in October and I have lots to do before the wedding. I will however keep the build updated as it progresses.

Could find someone like me who is in michigan, get items shipped there and pick them up, save ya self on high shipping price. but is gas price cheaper or more expensive then shipping is the question then

Lol your government frowns upon me entering the country. But that would be nice. My parents spend most of the winter in S.C. so I'll be sending them some mail this year lol. I can usually find what I'm looking for on Ebay or Amazon or Kijiji. I appreciate the offer. 👍

Some new parts have arrived for "Ducky" this week, so far the SunRingle MTX 33 came in along with the sunlite dual pull brake lever and the YBN MK918 halflink chain. The Maikuni 21mm arrived as well. I also got around to shaving the side of my cylinder down to accept the dio reed block but I'll post that in its thread.

All looks good man! That maikuni carb is a pwk 21 clone and they work well! nice hoops too!

Finally got the engine fully built for the mongoose. It's a 66cc China girl with 42mm stroke with a sleeved cylinder and dio reed block. The jug has been ported and polished, exhaust raised to 24.9mm and widened to 29mm. The transfers are 32mm and have been opened up and the bridges removed, piston has been windowed and polished as well.
The case is stuffed along with the balanced and trued crank. 70cc hi hi Puch head with swish gap set to. 7mm
Now to just get the rest of the bike built.

Came together awesome, grats!

We're almost Engine Brothers! My cheapo G5 test motor build does 53mph with some port work, a KX85 pipe, and a rejetted 19mm kehein clone and its not nearly as well built as yours so you should be in for a real treat. Just careful with that pull start, I know they have improved the design in the last year or so but you don't hear too much good from them.

Sometime next year (after I'm done with my 4stroke) I plan on turning that motor into a case reed and finishing the port work and going for ~60+mph...
