Ebay 4 stroke kit comes with "upgraded belt gearbox"

So this 4 stroke kit on eBay claims to have an upgraded belt gearbox. I've been interested in buying a 4 stroke kit but read that the "hoot" gearbox it comes with is garbage, but as far as I know that is a chain gearbox and this kit has a belt instead. Is this any better?

That is a good price for a 4-stroke kit but I've never seen it. I have the Hoot transmission and problem with that transmission is the gear reduction 1:3 and the single transmission chain that stretches quickly. I put in a chain guide and tensioner to fix the stretch and haven't had any problems. But, a belt drive is better as it is easy to replace a belt. A couple things I would confirm

- What is the gearing on that belt transmssion
- Does the transmission seat on the engine flush and not allow any debris inside (u would be surprised)
- Where is the belt transmission installed and again is it insulted from outside debris
- Also, figure out the engine shaft type : tapered or straight as this will determine what transmission options are available if the stock one ever breaks
