So your "fixing" a non problem by adding more expensive wiring? Have you rode it around yet to see if it gets warm? Even though you have more battery capacity it will probably actually run cooler due to lower resistance. Your controller limits what goes to the motor and what it draws from the battery. No need for bigger wires until you upgrade to a more powerful controller.
