So the cast head must give more volume ...
Are they billet aluminum or same as the cylinder?

cast just like the jug, and they match like they were meant to be. cast head has .5cc less than most stock heads ( i say most, because some can be 7, 8, 10 cc, but most are 6-7cc). so slightly higher compression than most stock heads, but way more surface area and heat sink for moving the heat.

it also has a different chamber designed for more turbulent flow, increasing burn rate. so it is a must to set the squish on these, or move the piston further away from the head.

oh and idk bout your bikes, but on the bike mine is on ( yep you guessed it a cdh engine, and cdh head) the squish band is perfect for it, and the deck sets perfect with a light sand and an ultra thin copper gasket for a nice squish area, with little work at all.

Sounds like a winner, I run bbr and yeah squish is not always on but removing gaskets adding em and like you said a light sand helps to get em right.

oh forgot to mention, they have about a .5mm gasket band tht can be sanded off to help set the squish if needed.
