After moving to a new location in Indiana, I'm restricted
to traveling around the block, because motorized bikes are
not permitted on bike paths and trails in Indiana. Then I
discovered the 30 miles long Cal-Sag trail from Alsip to
Lemont Illinois, so I went there to find a sign that says
"no motored bikes." But the new laws in Indiana and
Illinois allow electric bikes as long as they are no more
than 750 watts. So the entire system, the feds and
locals are encouraging electrics and discouraging gas.
So, I will now build an electric and every bike path
and trail in Indiana and Illinois will be open for
riding.

That's exactly what i use my 2 electric bikes for as well. I still take the 2 popper out to the gravel road loop and cruise from time to time. The bicycle trails are better than the roads around here.

I just wish they weren't so freakin' expensive.
Properly built they’re the same price and a lot less hassle.

The best thing is probably the fact that they attract little attention. Gas bikes are serious man magnets. On the ebike I can creep up on girls and say hello without getting cockblocked by the dudes who wanna tell you about their old triumph sitting in pieces...

went out for a ride today...

There is the electric motor and there is the gasoline engine. So i'd let the cops stop me and pull out m dictionary and show them the dif. Here in bama a bike with an engine is still a bike i roar all over
