The basic question of this post is, how far does the cable actually move to engage the clutch?
And in detail: what I'm looking to do is use the quick shifting levers from my front sprockets to engage the clutch, since the gears will be replaced with a SBP kit.
I'll be able to keep independent braking for front and rear, and I'll be able to engage and disengage extremely quickly. The only thing on the handlebars I'll have to do is put in the throttle... so the question remains, how far does it have to move? And are there any flaws in my idea?
