Engine advice please!

Sorry I took so long! I got mom's camera out there today and took a picture. Here it is:View attachment 215304
When I got it it was really a piece of junk. The fenders were all rusty and the chrome on them was pretty much gone, so I used paint as much as I wanted them to be chrome. The rack too. The wheels were all rusty and I spent way too long and polished them. I replaced the handles and wheels and tubes and bearings and repainted just about everything besides the frame and handlebars. I spent a little more and got the gum wall tires. I've put a lot of miles on it.

Here's my bike I restored a while ago. It's a 1974 All Pro (K mart special lol) that I pulled from the dirt after I tripped on it. I sadly had to get rid of it to move.

Aluminum foil works well to remove rust from chrome without leaving it all scratched up looking.

Thanks I'll try that! I used really fine steel wool which took a really long time.

Even with the foil it's still a long process. It just gives better results.

That's nice. My bike's brand is Physio Fit. I'd never heard of it. (Actually, I tell myself it's a high end Schwinn that someone took the brand sticker off and put the Physio Fit sticker on for whatever reason.) I want to get some Cadillac stickers made that are the right size and put them on. Or maybe Chevy.
