just got together my second build, started up first try and when I give throttle it doesn't let off and would go faster. I checked the carb and the plunger piece fully opens and closes. I am 99% sure it's an air leak. How can I fix it? I have it on an off set intake manifold but I have to jam it on to make it fit and when I put it on the stock manifold the carb is croked to the right due to the throttle cable. Will answer and try anything at this point thanks!

sometimes one must file the end of the intake just a bit (usually at 45 degree angle) to clean up imperfections in cutting or chroming that keep a carb from making a tight fit

also, it carb does not lean too far to right on normal intake, it might work OK
