Hey guys, i'm having a little problem with my 80cc slant head. When I release the throttle the RPM's takes some time to go back down. It has to be a leak somewhere but im not sure. So far I checked the intake manifold and even switched carbs but still the same problem. Any idea's?

if you keep coming up empty on solutions, it might be something super simple... I was having some throttle issues, but it turned out to be that something besides just the throttle was putting tension on the throttle cable. Not ENOUGH tension that the bike was throttling out of control or anything, just enough tension that it was slowing down the responsiveness to releasing the throttle.

Throttle down.

RedBaronX is right about those stickey cables. Also, Are you using the same old plunger on both carb's? I'm not sure about the name of it, I'ts that thing that is hanging off the end of your throttle cable with the brass needle sticking out of the end. I've had a few plungers that did not slide freely up and down in the carb. Hey, It's from China, what do ya think would happen? Quality? (right)
And you should also check yer carb. Make SURE everything is tight. And If you have a dirty air cleaner on it it might restrict air flow which would make it fuel rich. It would want to finish burning it all before it idle'd down. Take the air cleaner off for a minute and see what happens.
That's about all I can think of right now. Fiddle around with it and if none of this works, get back to this site for more info. Most of these guy's & gal's know what's up.
Thanks,
Big Red.

try taking the air cleaner off look in the carb you well see the slide it should move up and down smooth when you trun the thorttle it well tell you if the slide is sticking and how i find my air leaks is i use carb cleaner spray the intake were it mounts to the jug and spray the intake going in to the carb
if you have a leak the rpm's well go up or down or you met have a air leak
in back of the Magnet the engine seal met be leaking
