Engine mods

I plan on using a Dax motor possibly a 35cc if the 50cc is too big for my mtn bike. Are there any mods I can do to bring that 1.6 hp closer to 3?

if its a 4 stroke, and you dont want to lug around a 2gallon tank full of methanol...nope

might get up to 1.7 with some port polishing and raising comp ratio a bit...

ever made a supercharger? you wont FIND one suitable for anything under 500cc or so...

but a supercharger will do whats required.

A supercharger on an engine that doesn't breath to begin with is only a bandaid not a cure.On these small engines if you put a proper head on them you don't need a blower with its associated issues, weight and complexity.
Lawn tools don't need high output engines so your choice is a bigger engine.

problem with replacing the head is that its invariably a unified design with cylinder, head and half a crankcase all in one... makes it very hard to do anything to it...

there are dremels with carbide burrs, admittedly, but a supercharger would be fuuun

and all the ports on mine have been big enough for me to feel its only worth cleaning out any casting flash...

give em 30 psi!
