Engine only runs with the choke on...

Bike won't run off choke....

I have a HS 142f 4 stroke. I used it over a year ago and it was awesome. I stored it with gas still in it (like a rookie) and am now trying to get it up to speed. I checked all my bolts, tightened down the exhaust and took it out. The bike wont idle or run off choke. I first tried a simple fix...

I have a similar problem with mine it runs fine with the choke on with the choke off idling but anytime you give it any gas it dies

Are you running a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke engine...The person who started this thread was asking advice on his 4 stroke engine and carbie etc.
If your running a 2 stroke let us know, since what you are looking for maybe different than what was happening with that 4 stroke almost 6 years ago...DAMIEN

lean oh jenny went to LEAAAAAANNNN. lean on me, when you not strong, i got no gas, so i wont carry on, ohhhh for , it won't be long, till that engine siezes, and you drag it home. OHHH LEANNNN ON ME. its lean bro.


real question is, " why is it lean?"

A engine only running with choke up, means two things. It’s either you are not getting enough fuel, or your getting too much air ( air leak).

Yeah...That was three months ago, he hasn't reported back since then...lol.
