Engine stop switch for gx35

Guys, do I need an engine stop switch for the gx35, or will it stop if I touch the wire to the engine frame?
I don't want to put gas and oil in it until I have the set up completed and ready to test lest I make a mess in here.
I will eventually add a switch to the handle bars but just to test I want to know if it will stop the engine.

Yes you can ground the wire to kill the engine, or you can choke it when running and warm by applying a full choke and throttle, that will kill it too.

Hey Andy, yes! I think I will bolt something to the engine so I can just plug the black wire to the thing.
