I have a 18 to 1 mix, running on 2nd spot up from bottom needle mixture screw to make it more rich during break in, bogs down on 3rd clip, scared it is too lean on 1 st clip.

Sealed carb with RTV silicone, works good - choke works now.
Killswitch works

Everythings good now except brakes.

************So how long do I run this mix for? 1 gallon? 1 tank?

Can I switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic after break in? I am using 7-11 2 cycle oil made for outboards atm...

A tank (we did 2, a gallon of mixed non synthetic oil, now using Ansoil)) should do it. Don't run over 20MPh and periods longer then 30 minutes before cooling. I told my son the engine is cool enough if you can touch the cylinder without getting burnt.

I was always told a lot longer than 1 or even 2 tanks, I was told around 100km travel time to fully break it in.

Although maybe you get a lot better fuel efficiency than me *shrug*

If you are running outboard 2 stroke oil, your engine will break before it breaks in.

A 32:1 oil ratio of a good oil such as Klotz or Maxima 927 is all you need.
