I'm pretty well schooled on bearings, but never seen spherical rod ends used like that in a high-speed application. Presumably you've got some way to lubricate them. In the end, I'm not the one riding it, so... carry on.

Jee Mr. f***ing Know It All, I should get rid of my Jack Shaft Pillow Block Bearings because they are the same style bearings? You have already told us that your not gonna be going that fast (30 mph max) so the Hemi Joints should be OK This means ya ain't sure?
Tell us have ya ever used Hemi Joints as roller bearings before?
Find me one place that recommends using Hemi Joints as roller bearings. There isn't any because that's not what their designed for.

I bet your Hemi Joints are just NYLON lined. Can you say FRICTION

I don't get it either, how are heim joints and pillow blocks considered the same thing, and how is the axle going to stay aligned?
