i've been wondering about that, and tom would like some sort of official listing to incorporate into the forum database, so...

listing only by actual maunufacturer of a motor/engine OR kit/design, how many are there?

as you add or edit the list, please copy & paste the entire new list into your post...if we do this right, the last post will eventually contain a complete and correct list.

for example, i have a:

Gru-Bee 80cc

add as many as you can think of or find, we'll probably moddy-edit the list once in a while to standardize the entries...if we do, we'll leave notice of that.

thanks in advance to anyone who can help us with this 8)

There are number of factories in China that make pretty much the same basic engine and most even use the same model numbers. The Grubees are made at the Changzhou China GAS factory.

F50 for the 48cc
F55 for the 49cc
F60 for the 60cc
F80 for the 70/80cc

thanks for that, ok, i'll do it this way:

Chinese 80cc
Chinese 60cc
Chinese 49cc
Chinese 48cc
Russian M-21
GEBE R/S 35cc
GEBE R/S 25cc

for real...what this is for is so members will be able to have their motor/engine/kit-type displayed under their avatar, but we CAN'T get'er dun 'til we have a (complete & accurate) list to work with, so...help, please?

i'm gonna keep shamelessly bumping this one 'til we find us some help.

neither tom or i have the time, or knowledge, to compile this listing.

if someone could jump in and help, i think we'd all find it interesting to watch the list grow 8)

Don't forget that there are two diffrent Chineese 48cc engines. One is a square head and the other is a round head (seemingly the stronger of the two)...Kelly

Don't forget the electrics. . .

I don't even know my manufacturer Chinese? 48V from SpookyTooth and he must be out of them because he only has 36V listed on his website now . . .

Actually...there's no such engine as Russian M21. What you are talking here about, is the "D" series of engines - D4, D5, D5M, D6, D8 and D8E (lined up by the production year). Basically same layout, but some details are different.
The chinese engines were copied from D4 at 1950-s hence the similarities.
