Hey all my exhaust stud is stripped on the left side what is the best way to fix this with. I dont have a way to tap it and jb weld, thread tape and/or aluminium foil only holds for about 100 miles.

What I always did was just get a slightly bigger bolt and force it in with a socket wrench. The aluminum is soft enough that it threads in without a tap. Did it a couple times with no problems.

Thanks for the quick reply I asked to cancel the order I like your idea seems cheaper I didnt think that I would be able to do that Ill go get some allen bolts.

I never checked the sizes, I always just grabbed a bolt that I had laying around

bummer, you didn't get the metric 6x1.0 so all would match

when fixing those on drive side, I take off cylinder and drill right thru into passage for head stud - this leaves me a lot of room to set the threads in deep where the metal is unstressed - NOTE: once the helicoil is in, I usually use a bolt on that side because there is no 'bottom' to seat a stud into
