if it is an HT motor AND you have the idle screw all the way in without getting a good idle speed, then drop the needle down to a more lean position

It was, idling fine I rode it 6to8 blocks and when id pull in the clutch at intersections it would stall.

does it matter? i always kill mine at intersections, personally.

sounds too rich. looked at carb jetting yet?

quick test. wind screw in all the way. turn fuel off. wait. wait a bit more. dont touch throttle!

once it runs dry, if it really revs out, and does so for a few seconds...rich.

if it revs up and dies in less than 2 seconds...just about spot on.

if it coughs and dies instantly...lean

Have you tried adjusting the idle screw yet? I didn't even know it was possible for these engines to idle until I found this forum!
