Fasteddys side car build

Tring to find a nice old classic that would deserve a nice sidecar..will not use another Walmart bike for motorizing,,I keep looking at the Sun Tadpole trike I bought a couple of months ago..cut and extend the frame for an HT behind the seat but think I will go with electric hub in the sidecar wheel..Fasteddy prototype style..Quiet and hidden..Wife keeps reminding me of 30 years of motorcycle accidents and Decembers MB wreck..Keeps loading and unloading and cleaning her two snub nose 38s..whats up with that..I told them guys in the ambulance I wasn't going, right before I went unconscious for the next twentyfive days..wasn't my fault the hospital bill was $187,000..I didnt want to go in the first place

Tedd, I wouldn't worry about the cleaning of the 38's. I'm sure she just want's to be ready incase someone climbs into bed with her in the middle of the night and she feels threatened.

The nice part is that with a early bike the steel and better manufacturing is there. Still hovering around what battery to buy. At $5 to $800 it isn't something that I want to rush. Asked Thud who works with KIM in OZ what I needed to have to use the batteries that are giving them such good service.
These are top of the line lithium poly batteries and I can't see going with cheaper ones just to replace them in a few month with the better ones.

Heck, you could have stayed at home in a comma and the nurses could have visited you. Yep, they never think these things out. Did the same thing to me. I told them I was OK after the two cars hit me but they took me off too. Not very thoughtful are they. When I died in the ambulance they didn't have to bring me back because if they had just taken me home, my parents could have done it just as well.

No bills though. We're Canadian and we're screwed so badly ever day they don't have the nerve to try. Tells you how bad it is when a politician won't at least try.

Guess if we keep swinging we'll hit a home run sometime.

Steve..what I hear when I climb into bed late at night ..is "leave me alone, unlike you I have got to go to work in the morning"....Do not know to much about electric motors and their batteries as applied to bikes.. but I do know the cheep ones are a waste of money..electric power does cost more than gas , hopefully battery technology is still improving and the prices will come down....Looked into an electric set up for my trike..about $2000 for everything..but you gotta have the good lithium poly batteries, I think,, to keep from banging your head on the wall after a couple of months

Heck of a lot better than the sound a hammer being pulled back. Well I have electric down pat. Mainly because it's marked on and off.
KiM and Thud just answered my questions about how they put thier battery packs together. Figure I may as well get my feet wet and start. Looks like time on the phone tomorrow.

No, electric isn't for the faint of wallet. The joy of gliding past the spandex crowd that has been described though is well worth any price to me. We are over run with them here. The worst part being that they come in swarms and have a quaint idea that the road is just for them and laws do not apply. Seems that spandex makes them immune to all the laws and common sense as well.
