Favorite gear ratio?

Dunno. Installed it on rusty right put of the box. This is my second long time running engine, and they both vibrated at very high RPM. High as in wide open until it just won't go any faster.

Pretty sure a sprocket will do the trick.

I would go a 38tooth or 40tooth rear sprocket, I'm thinking a 40th would be perfect. I run a 44 tooth rear & get 38-42mph if I'm wringing its neck. I think a 40 would give the best of both speed & torque while not wringing it out.

Thx @DieselTech (and @DAMIEN1307) When maxing out now, I get a little nervous about an engine failure and something like a rear tire lock up. At 20-ish, I can probably muscle it back, but a janky bicycle at 40 is probably going to knock a couple teeth out if Murphy enters the room. I'd feel a lot better with much less RPM and similar speeds.

They are all similar price, thanks again folks.

UGH! No wonder this bike is so fast on the top end. When I bought my kit way back when, it came with "44" but never bothered to check. Bought a 36t, and glad I looked before unbolting anything - that's what I already have!!! Derp.
