Built a motored life kit for a pal today. I'm very aware that I have master the art of complaint but here we go.

This kit was 800 for frame and 150 motor. Felt faker came with no usable motor mount without contacting pedal sprocket. Had to design my own with 2 u bolt clamp and an exhaust clamp.

Neither came with any instruction to speak of. Had to figure out triple tree myself. And was missing some hardware on rear wheel. After much trial and error managed a workable bike with no tensioner for chains.

Hardware with faker was deplorable. Just setting up brake caliper disc on front noticed the clamp for cable was damaged and had to remedy that. I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of myhead.

Friend was satisfied but I was FURIOUS. 800$ bike no directions of any sort not ready to accept motor at all. No warning that you may need more hardware. 1000$ build that i trust less than old dependable(bike I built from literal trash incl motor 100%)...

1000$ outrageous for that it should be easier than Legos! I will post pics when I receive them.

When I post things like this it's not a smear campaign. I'm a kind person or at least do my best to care for others. So I share my thoughts and experiences to hopefully save someone alot of cash and heart ache. I haven't put 1000$ into all 4 of mine combined. I'm really upset that this didn't go much more smoothly.

TLDR= IF YOU INTEND TO INVEST IN A BIKE CONSULT THE PPL OF THIS FORUM FIRST. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING WITHOUT APPROVAL. NO MATTER WHAT THE SELLLER SAYS.

This kits been taking serious shots at my pride lately. Such an expensive kit and such a headache. Plus my phantom disaster. That admittedly I blew up. Atleast after some name calling and agreement I managed to get Zane to ship me a new phantom top end that's not screwed without emptying my pocket. Btw you were totally right bicycle engine parts are the best. Amazing service with no bs. They confirmed that they are the THE distributor for the phantoms. Not sure where Zane gets the parts but I got it straight for the source(bicycle engine parts) they aren't aware of any other oem distributors.

I thought about ordering a kit like that instead of building mine from scratch, but I know how poor of quality they can be. I have almost 1500 into my Hyper, but at least I know the guy who designed and built the bike... He says it's quality stuff...
