I finished my EHO 35/cvt motorized bicycle and I am impressed with it's accleration from stand-still using a 11T/63T setup on a 24 inch bicycle. This CVT approach is far better than slip clutches; it's just fantastic to have a real transmission under the wheels. One problem, I tried to go without a chain tensioner and the chain popped off twice. I'll have to install one, but so far the initial test was great. I can imagine designing a drag racer using a cvt. With the double right sided drive, the weight of the motor and cvt sit over the rear wheel, so the bike is almost perfectly balanced, and it has a great feel when riding. The cvt adds only about 5 pounds, so the bike is relatively light.
