First Build.

Hello everyone. I have everything running engine/electrical. Went for my first ride and when I returned I noticed that stock beach cruiser rims and hubs are not the way to go. Does anyone have good insight on what manufacturers to look into for front and rear wheels?

I use what's on the bike,but steel rims with bigger gauge spokes is the way to go.

pirate cycles has wheels specifically designed for motorized bikes. I think sick bike parts does too. The one's at pirate have the upgrade hd hub and a drum brake. What was wrong with your cruiser wheels, i never had any problem with either my 27x1.25 or 26x 1.95's. At least nothing due to the motor. I hit a pothole with my 27's and turned the back into a pretzel. I took me a month but i found a replacement on craigslist for $20. I believe both the places i mentioned above are expensive, at least to me.
