My 66cc 2 stroke kits been a pain in the ass to tune. I just used a degree wheel on it and recorded these numbers

Ex - 167
Tr - 125
Int - 117
Blowdown = 42

The numbers seem fine I think so I couldn’t figure out why the bike would just bog out and die with no idle capability and horrible performance even though I kept adjusting the c-clip. NT carb btw.
I realized that I may have advanced the timing when I bolted the magneto lock nut back on. So I took some pliers and held the magento and retightened the nut therefore I retarded it I believe.

Boom now the bike is running smooth and fast. what does this mean?

I didn’t take the magnet off I just tightened it up while holding it in the retard position
If the nut loosens off then it will go full advance, which will make it run poorly. You can file the key to get a little more retard, but it is only necessary if you're going to higher rpms.
