Freewheel output gear?

My phantom build was 700C, and still is technically speaking. Just have to gear it appropriately to compensate for the diameter change of the wheel/tire, and roughly adding 4 teeth the rear sprocket compensates for that and makes the final drive ratio the same as 4 less teeth on a 26" wheel and tire.

Don't get me started about SAAB ownership, as much as I enjoyed owning those cars, they definitely had some quirks that made for some wild adventures. I was going to find my old Yamaha L5T-A owner's manual, as it is illustrated with the cutest little cartoons explained in picto-engrish what advantages the AutoLube system provided over their older premix bikes. The one of the rider and his girl at the bottom of a big hill with the bike looking sad and smoke pouring out of it's engine was hilarious.
Auto lube systems are far superior for several reasons over pre-mix, but pre-mixing also means everything will still function if the auto lube system has a malfunction. Honestly, the only real downside to premix is when the fuel is made to sit for more than a week or two and the oil starts to settle out and sink to the bottom. I can't count how many 2 stroke dirt bikes I bought with "Bad gas/carb" that just ended up having all of the oil sitting on the bottom of the tank, or as a thick goop in the bowl of the carb after mixing with the evaporated fuel varnish.

Just my 2 cents, but a feature I always thought 2 stroke fuel tanks should have is a small tiny internal mixing pump or stirrer. Just have a little switch hidden away somewhere and run it for a minute or two. This would make fuel station stops a breeze since you can just add fuel and oil to the tank and have that little mixing system going for a minute or two. You could even put it on a timed relay circuit so it auto-stops after whatever desired time period is reached.

NOPE, can;t say that I have.
Yeah I think he left this forum back in 2012. I think he was kinda fed up with what he saw as the legal issues surrounding the popularity of the HT bike engine, was also a lot more interested in rack mount 40cc and under engines like the Tanaka and Mitsubishi garden implement and the Sube/Honda 4 strokes. He was really, really into the Golden Eagles and at that time in 2013-'14 I was slowly building my rack mount, beltdrive friction drive, and I connected with him on his Motor Assisted Bicycles forum. Not knowing he was the once Admin and I think also creator of this forum...?

I had a 1964 Yamaha MF-1 back in 2010, basically Yamaha's answer to the Honda Super Cub 50 but with a premix 1.48 gallon fuel tank and 12 volts dynamo/generator starting and electrics, really bright lights and working turn signals. It was so incredibly advanced for 1964.

Edited to show the MF-1 mine was Red and White.

Mine had the pillion length seat apparently they really rare. One of my stupid choices was to let this bike go.

I had premixed gas in that bike that I had not changed since 1993, when I sold in in 2011, and it would still start and run easily with just a little sloshing of the tank to mix up the fuel. The gas made back in the 1990's was like from another planet almost. I'm so used to E10 just turning to crap in about a year's time.

My VeloSolex also had fuel from about 1994 and it would still run on it.

WTF happened..?

Modern emissions standards and the additive packages have changed a great deal. Even non-ethanol fuel these days can still contain ethanol without being labled. Up to 9% in the U.S. doesn't require it to be displayed as a blended fuel and is just considered an additive. Even the old stuff would eventually start to varnish and stink. It just took a lot longer to degrade.

Myself as well as many others do not and will not use anything but ethanol free gasoline as it does not turn into crap clogging up the works and many of us have not even had to clean carburetors because we use ethanol free.

Here is a listing below of where ethanol free gas has been available in Coos Bay...You can check them out as I have no idea of availability in present time.
