I'm getting my wheel laced with a nos front drum I bought from Koolwhizzer. My ? is about brake levers. What works and what does not.Can I use a old Schwinn lever? V brake lever? The whizzer levers I have found cost to much.Any links or opinions would be great!

It should work with just about any brake lever. I'm using a drum on the front of my '46 Columbia, and I just have a pretty generic style of brake lever for it.

Thanx for your reply.I found and bought a locking right hand lever with cables and barrel adjuster from Pirate Cycles.I also just picked up some Avid 7 v brake levers.I'm going to see what works best.

I have heard of hand levers for use with only disk brakes. I have not seen a drum specific hand lever.
If your existing levers do not work well with the drum brakes, you could try some moped brake levers.
