I have the Kent bayside and want to upgrade to a suspension fork with disc brake mounts. Would this one work? The stock one is threaded so do o have to get a threaded one? Sorry I'm pretty new to all the bike stuff still yet....

If all you want is a disk brake mount, You can always do what I did then...Use the black caliper adapter that forks over your axle and then just attach the appropriate size "Adel" clamp to your front fork to hold it firmly in place.

I've been riding mine like this for years now with no problems.

Mr. Damien, Do you have to take the brake mount and everything off each time you take off the front wheel?

All I do is slip the caliper off of the rotor and let it dangle on the end of the cable...lol...The rotor stays bolted to the wheel as well.

If you see those two hex screws in the pics that hold the caliper onto the adapter, you only have to take those out to move the caliper off the rotor...easy peasy.
