fuel line inquiry

I have the common 70cc bike kit that many of you have and was curious to know if anyone (likely most of you ?) is using an in-line fuel filter from an auto parts store ? If so, what is the size of the fuel line supplied with our motors and is there a "most suitable" filter for this project ?
