I have an 80cc engine. Am I correct in saying that it is 4 oz. of oil per 1 gallon of gas??

depends on the ratio you're shooting for...your formula would be 32:1

128 ozs to a gallon divided by desired ratio (32) = 4ozs

8)

just to repeat the juicy part for anyone searching for "fuel oil mixture" in the future

128 ozs to a gallon divided by desired ratio = _ozs oil

1000 ml to a liter divided by desired ratio = _ml oil

i use one of those "fuel rite" mixing cups shaped like an upside down cone. just pour in the oil to the desired ratio, and voila, you got a spicy one gallon fuel oil mixture. this all might somehow be irrelevant. you should get one of those ratio cups, at your local NAPA or lawn equipment store, etc.

fyi- if you are in a bind on a "fill up on the road", without pre-mixed, the cap of a small bottle of 2 cycle oil holds approx 4-4.5 mm.

With my ratio/tank size, 4 capfuls does a tank, 2 caps does a half. Important when traveling long distances.

When you fillup on the road, you can "get close" to standards if you know beforehand how many mm.s you need per tank, divide by 4 and add that many capfuls of oil.

Or carry a syringe, 30 cents at a veternarians office.

that's the ratio me n azvinnie use (25:1)
with the heat here in the desert, It is good to have the extra lubrication
