G2 reed valve no idle.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. Will it make it idle after I do this?
...it should? Without riding it personally no one can say exactly what your problem is with certainty. And this is something you pretty much always have to do on these engines, get used to it. It's way easier than it sounds at first. It takes me about 1-2 minutes to do this. It might take a first-timer 5 minutes. You don't even have to disassemble anything. Unscrew the cap on the carb, pull the spring out of the way, take off the washer, re-position the clip, put the washer back on, put the spring back down, and screw it back on. That easy. Get out there and do it lol! Just make sure not to lose the clip, it's pretty tiny.

Thanks I built it from frame up all the parts were sorced from different places to get the best deal and best products. I call it the 117 super villain cus it's had noting but problems since I first got it on the road

So it's got a homemade window piston and a different head with G2 reed valve. So it's somewhere in the 60 to 80cc range. But I've hit a high speed of 36 today when I went for a ride. But at that speed it has a super bad vibration coming from somewere but all in all she's a nice little runner

If I might make one recommendation; it looks like you're going for performance with that build, if I'm not mistaken? Anyways I would highly recommend getting an hp carb like this one. I got one, and it resulted in a noticeable power increase. Your carb looks like it's identical to mine, and this is the one I got. eBay.com Granted, you may have to re-jet it if you change the filter. Also I had to rig it to make it work but it worked out well.

If it's a China doll engine, the vibration is most likely the result of crank imbalance. I balanced my crank and it made the vibrations way better. That being said, I would NOT recommend it unless you are fond of in-depth complex and difficult mechanical tasks lol. I do believe some machine shops will balance it for you, and I know there are some places you can send it off to to be balanced. Also you can get a pre-balanced crank. But for all that you have to disassemble the engine.
