G2 reed valve no idle.

Already run that spark plug but thanks. And how do I re jet a stock carb
If you have already been leaking fuel from the carb, and have had to use the choke to keep it running, then that is a sure fire way to tell you have a float bowl issue. If the fuel is sitting too low in the bowl, then there won't be much for combustion. If the fuel is sitting too high in the bowl, then the fuel will just run out. Possibly flood the engine, but definitely get fuel on everything. Turn the carb upside down to adjust. 21mm

So I have the G2 reed valve installed and it's completely sealed off but it will not idle and I have to mess with the choke while I'm riding at low speeds. Anyone have any ideas?
Hey g2 "expert" here. They're my favorite reed I currently have 4 and run almost every motor with them. It normally comes down to velocity. 90% my bike idle. With an occasional stall. My bike with a stuffed reed almost never stalls. Get a 12$ g2 stuffer and trim alittle then pop it in. Also these can be a b**ch to seal and have bad screws after their first use so go get screws 5 to 10mm long with washers and locks and maybe some rtv or fel pro gasket maker while your at it. TLDR- stuffer, longer bolts/hardware and gasket materail. I've put together and serviced more than 10 g2s now and can't stress the hardware part enough. Those short screw will eventually strip the cage and I know you don't want that.

No my first carb was leaking fuel all over the frame so it took off paint and then when it's full of gas it leaks from around gas cap
Throw an O ring in there and vent the cap with a hose.

Don't forget to resurface the area where the reeds seal (or don't seal)
Mike, who is TLDR?

I knew you were weird...

The reed stuffer is a definitely worthwhile investment. The G2 is a bit on the large side, so it has a lot of problems with intake velocity and turbulence at low engine speed.
Thank you! Yeah I have noticed that negative space can be the enemy of vacuum. Hence the idle. Honestly if I could do it again I'd probably go oz reed with a silicone tube for clearance lol I noticed with phantom they don't appear to need a stuffer.
