Here is the basic bike. I wanted to do in frame but my research said it would be 1 liter total. Maybe 20miles? Seems too small. So maybe something mounted under the spine? I’m not a fan of the little stock peanut tank for what it’s worth. All opinions welcomed.

OH YEA, that's perfect. Try make it 1.3 gal. That should give you at least a 60 mile range.
To make the tank any bigger might look funny?

Not sure if ya want to use a Repop 1.2 gal Whizzer tank (no logo) and cut it in half So you already have a basic shape to work with
Or ya just might have to pound one out of sheet metal to make it perfect for your requirements.
This tank fabrication in very interesting. Waiting to see what ya come up with.

Slapping the Whizzer tank on top might give it a tall tank Chopper look?

I always liked tanks like these that hook on the seat post and stick out the back. If you can't get your tank big enough you can get it as a reserve tank or maybe even cut it or adapt it somehow, I don't know, just thinking out loud.

Thanks guys, this is encouraging. In the third pic the bottle taped to the frame is 1.75 liters (anyone know what was in it?)
I think it will have plenty capacity- but yes- design is the primary concern

As much as I would like you to build a Custom tank It is gonna require Tig Welding not sure if you got access to that.
I bet you can find a tank already made. Tyler just posted a good Idea.
I like the idea of a 1 gal tank up front in the traditional position.
